My second Laura Wood book and, as expected, I LOVED it.

The second I opened this book, I was completely torn between reading it and starting to reread The Great Gatsby. Just as with Under A Dancing Star, the vibes from this book were amazing.

As usual, Laura Wood’s descriptions are stunning and the dialogue felt so realistic. Her writing made the book so easy and so much fun to read.

And the ROMANCE. I was slightly unsure in the beginning, but I loved it.

Have you ever finished a book and almost immediately wanted to turn back to page 1 and read it all over again?

That's what I wanted to do with A Sky Painted Gold. For me, this book was close to perfection. The descriptions painted a compelling picture of the surroundings and atmosphere without descending into purple prose. It was just so beautifully written.

I adored Lou, the protagonist, and I felt at some points I was going on the journey with her, discovering the decadent yet deeply flawed lifestyles of the young and uber-wealthy.

There aren't many books which I say, yes, I would love to read this again, but I feel this book will be reread for many years to come.
