I loved reading this book. Every single page was utterly delightful and full of emotions. It had a great plot, stark contrasts in its imagery and description not to mention the diversity in characters and their personalities and faults. I loved the messages of love, kindness, growth, friendship, family and adventure it had, while also tackling some sadder topics. It made the best out of these scenes and had a nice hint of mistery as well as the fantastical world it is set in in general. I enjoyed reading about the characters unique personalities, getting over their differences, learning and growing to be this great family. There are important life lessons around every page turned and all of it fits this fluffy, heartwarming atmosphere of serenity Klune has created. 
I can not reiterate how much I love and enjoyed this book. It is now my favourite book and I look forward to reading it again and again in the near and distant future.
 If you have a bad day, pick up this book.

This was a delightful take on a familiar magical beings trope. The main focus is on Linus’ journey as he comes to know the children and gain new perspective on the status quo. It is a hopeful story on acceptance and love and the power of a few to make a real change.

Not sure how to tag it, but the fact that the fantasy oppression narrative was partially inspired by the Sixties Scoop is very much something to be aware of.

generally, I absolutely adored this book. I could've used less instances of linus's roundness being mentioned, but ultimately this book is delightful and made me laugh out loud multiple times.
