I LOVE POSTSECRET. Some of the secrets are funny, some are sweet, some are cute, some are heartbreaking, some are shocking, but all are worth reading. Check postsecret.com every Sunday if you want more. I do!
My two favorite post cards: “SHOPLIFT” and “I’m afraid of women who wear capri pants”
emotional
reflective
fast-paced
The most interesting concept. Great book to look through

What a great addition to any collection! While there is no single "voice" to speak, the promise of anonymity has brought out hundreds of distinct voices echoing many of the same sentiments. People are lonely, they miss others, they have been hurt, they question their identity. Everyone can find something with which they identify in this text, and the cards themselves are visually interesting, if not always beautiful. As one reader notes within the text, I can see myself in this, and I've never sent a postcard.
Simply put, this book will appeal to students because it will make them feel that they are not alone. Even those who do not want to find something like themselves will be entertained; the culture of reality television and Web 2.0 is a voyeuristic one. This is a project that has changed lives, and I think it will continue to do so for a long time.

The PostSecret project is a really strong and unique idea that gives people (and readers) an extremely rare opportunity to see the side of humanity that we all hide. This collection shares heartbreaking, shocking, and even extremely deep secrets. It was an unusual journey through the human psyche that I encourage everyone to take.
I love postsecret. I always felt like it was a really great idea not only because it's interesting from a human behavior and cultural standpoint but psychologically carrying around stress, guilt or sadness can be devastating. I've submitted secrets as have many people I know. I appreciate Mr.Warrens work bringing people together, helping people heal and of course his work on the issues of suicide, depression and mental illness.
PostSecret has always been a fun social experiment to wander through. Printed, it was equally as enjoyable.
thank you, dan. reading this in full made me feel both more hopeless, and less alone for feeling the way i do every minute of every day.
if you're going to read this book, i highly recommend doing it the way i did it (if possible).
i bought this from a library book sale, which means i spent $2.50 on it, rather than whatever astronomical price it probably is normally. it also, more importantly, meant at least one person had read it before me.
this book is made up of a series of postcards creatively inscribed with anonymous secrets.
that person had marked up a series of cards with sections of blue post-it notes.
i spent this book not only marveling at (and feeling known by) the secrets of others, but also those of this person before me, who had donated this book without removing their markings.
maybe they'd simply forgotten, or maybe it had been donated by someone other than that reader.
but i like to think they'd found their own way of freeing their secrets through PostSecret.
bottom line: this is more coffee table book than book, and in some ways is no better than looking at the PostSecret website. but it was in my case.
