Not my favourite of John Grisham’s books. Not horrible just not great.

I liked it! It kept me guessing!

At the end of the book the author's note says that little research went into this work of fiction and I think it shows. The book is peppered with unrealistic turns of events. It was an enjoyable read nonetheless

Typical John Grisham book and that is not a bad thing!!

3.5 stars. Well played, Malcolm.

A generous 2 stars as I did want to find out what happened in the end. But it was very irritating to read, I think it felt like we found out information all at the wrong times. I’m glad I didn’t pay any money for it.

Usually love Grisham. This book was difficult to get through period.
fast-paced

I always love reading John Grisham books, and this one reaffirmed that postion for me. Some of his books have ended poorly.....unsatisfying with a lack of proper closure—but that was not the case with this one. I like the way the protagonist took action on his situation in a very organized, detailed fashion and enjoyed the way it all unfolded......whether he was successful in his plan, well, I will leave that open for all of you to learn!

Even phenomenal authors have a badly written book... This is J. Grisham's.
