My first Grisham book. Wasn't bad. A bit too farfetched for me though. Lots of thought went into the planning if this heist but I just had a hard time with how this all fell into place and how it could realistically succeed. Definitely entertaining but not my thing.
His books are always a fast, fun read! Great book for a snowy, Winter afternoon...
I was getting nervous for John Grisham because I did not love his previous book but he's back up to standards with this one! Very suspenseful.
Typical Grisham. Entertaining plot. Essentially the same characters from novel to novel. And no brains cells were harmed in the reading of the novel. In three weeks I won't remember if I read this one or a different Grisham. Typical Grisham.
This rmins me of the earlier Grisham books, ending is everything
It was an entertaining book. Exactly the type of storyline that you expect from John Grisham. He did not stray far from his typical "formula".
I actually really enjoyed this book! It was different than any Grisham I'd read before, more fiction than fact based... maybe a bit far fetched. But so tricky!
It's be awhile since I've read Grisham......and I chose a good one to 'come back'......I'm reading along, about halfway through I'm wondering - where can the story go if this is already happening? (You know me, purposely being vague so as not to give anything away)....and then....Whoa, what's going on here? REALLY......THIS is happening? How many people are involved in this? How deep does this go? In other words, it kept me turning pages until the end - had to finish it, couldn't let it wait. Why only 4 stars? Because it was a bit too predictable during the first half of the book.
