This is the story of a "long con," which should've been a fun ride, but I found it too unbelievable, the con almost came off as too easy, and the narrator was not likable. I almost didn't finish this one because I was bored by it.

Me a sorprendido bastante.

(3.5) Another Grisham beach read with little difference from other Grisham beach reads but this one had some nice twists and I appreciated it more than others. Would've been a bigger fan if the twists didn't feel so rushed.

It was not a typical Grisham novel. Totally fiction, not based on anything. Full of twists and turns, a good read.

I'd give this book 3 1/2 stars. When I began reading it, I was reminded of an article my mom shared with me that said many publishers are pressuring their authors to produce TWO books every year. Hmmm, no wonder the quality of writing suffers. That said, I was disappointed with the "first-draft" style of this book, but once I got into the story I was hooked. OK, totally implausible and definitely notbased on any know facts, but a page-turner where I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Worth reading once!
