Yeah. Struggled with this one a little. The love interest kind of takes control freak and stalking to a new level. Kind of yikes.

Cute

A very cute and quick read. I loved how Logan and Bronte met and had to go through to survive. The situation created a bond between them that was intensified by their attraction and chemistry. They both had to learn to deal with their own insecurities so they could truly be together. I truly enjoyed it.

I wanted more depth to the characters. Too much forgiveness, not enough groveling. But I did finish it in a couple of hours. No regrets.

I did enjoy this book but it felt a bit ridiculous- I'm okay with accepting that Bronte just happened to get stuck on an island with a billionaire- that's classic romance 'randomness' but it seemed totally stupid that they actually had a secret society that they called the billionaires boys club and they all had matching tattoos and secret hand signals. I thought that the billionaires boys club might be a nickname but it turned out they were all super serious about their little club. FYI my brother has matching tattoos with his friends, so I know guys would do it, but it's a joke for them, they choose a picture off a beer bottle. I really struggle to take Logan and his club seriously, they just seemed like knobs, to create a super serious secret club, all have matching creepy tattoos (presumably designed for the club), have secret club meetings. It just felt like they were 10 year olds playing at being adults.

I liked Bronte, Logan was slightly sociopathic and too controlling for me but he was trying to be better for Bronte so that was really sweet. I could understand where both their insecurities came from and why they both acted that way although I did have more sympathy with Bronte, I can really understand her trust problems, she had past insecurities and the he did actually deceive her, whereas Logan was just projecting past insecurities onto her)

While this book wasn't exactly "bad", it was definitely not for me.

are you looking for a feel good romance? do you have a thing for billionaires that need someone that won't want them for their money so they lie about their identity and then get surprised when their female interest finds out and freaks out? well look no further!

i read romance novels to break up some of my heavier fantasy reads. this particular jessica clare book is pretty average. the plotline was a bit different than other billionaire books, but it follows the classic (and now expected) timeline of meet, fall in love, big drama, and makeup. it's decently light hearted, however, i got kind of sick of Logan constantly using money to fix things, expecting Bronte to just forgive them, and then repeat. the set ups annoyed me as well.

This was good. I didn't love it but it kept me reading. I'm not in a hurry to read the next one but Stranded w/ a Billionaire was an easy, quick, and not too angsty read. I do look forward to reading the next book. Looks like it might be a little bit of Beauty and the Beast type story, which I love.

It was good, but it wasn't wow.
Not enough drama to keep you hooked.
Still a decent book though.
