Easy read that had several holes. Harris seems to jump form one situation to next with sometimes skipping important details! She introduced a murder in the first couple of chapters and then went to different story and then solved the murder in last couple of chapters! Also she seems to add some erotic scenes just because! Will probably read next one because of the plot twist she threw in at the end. Would like to see how that plays out!

There were two conflicting story lines going on. It would have been better if they were two separate books with each conflict fleshed out a little better. Everything felt a bit rushed.

Easy to read and entertaining! Listened to the digital audiobook, and while the reader got carried away every once in a while, it was good.

I enjoyed book 2 much better than the 1st. I think I noticed the differences from the series more than in the first book which I enjoyed.

I love Sookie Stackhouse. She is the "everyman", if you will, and her thoughts often leave me laughing out loud. There wasn't a whole lot of romance in this one like their was in Dead Until Dark, but there was still plenty of mystery and good fun. Sookie has to go to Dallas to help a nest of vampires there find a missing brother. She expects it to be a pretty easy job, but she couldn't be more mistaken. She encounters more danger and discovers more humans with special abilities. Unfortunately, she runs afoul of the Fellowship, a group of radicals who believe vampires are an abomination on earth. There is also an upswing in romantic tension between Sookie and Eric, who has grown on me quite a bit in this novel. Highly recommended.

Reread. Definitely not as entertaining as the first one, but still a page turner.

Helped pass the time. Don't know if I'll read the rest of the series or not. Thoughts?
