this was a great adventure though a little slow at times. not all characters were detailed enough for my liking though I'm hoping this is due to it being the first book in the series. this is a great example of variety in female character which is what loved as it showed great equality

Not a bad fantasy, but a little too girly for me. The main character was a plucky girl that was helpless at wired moments, but able to overcome all odds at other times. The world building sucked, and I didn’t care so much for the outcome of the story.

3.5 This was a fun read that was on the verge of being really good, but then something would happen and I would go back to being undecided on how good it was. The author did a good job not over-doing details, but sometimes, especially during big moments, it would just suddenly be done and over with. I’m not sure if this is a series, and if it is, I’m not sure if I would read the next one. It was good, just frustrating in a few places.
