Honestly, the only thing I can think of to say is that this book was whackadoodle. Maybe it was my fault for not realizing it was a suspense romance but I could not get behind this at all and I also do not believe for a second that our couple will stay together long term.

The ex-boyfriend's dad trope is just not for me.

A one night stand just got a lot more complicated. Noah and Fisher are meant to be! I love Noah! She's fearless and strong, but also so understanding and mature. Poor Fisher is torn between his love for Noah and mending his relationship with his son Jase (didn't like him most of the book).

Ohmygoodness I am obsessed with these characters and this world. I love a good ex boyfriend's dad trope and Brooke hit it out of the park with this one. Their meet cute / one night stand turned more was so good and the tension of the secrets and sneaking around was fantastic. Add in some scorching hot spice and this was a recipe for perfection.

Noah and Fisher were just so sweet together. I really adored their little moments and how much he truly cherished her. Noah was strong as heck too and I loved how she stood her ground even while her heart was hurting.

The audio was fabulous. Tor Thom and Maxine Mitchell were the perfect duo for this book and I lovedddd this listen.

They don't even know each other but are instantly in love basically? Everything is very fast and not in a good way. I feel like it is too on the nose with the southern elements like why not include the "ing" at the end of words (eg somethin', gettin' etc) i just couldn't continue reading.
