I love Fisher & Noah so much! Their love story was so good & I am so glad they were able to get HEAs. I feel the author did a good job expressing the grief that Fisher went through in his life.

I want to read every ex-boyfriend's-dad book there is. My absolute favorite trope. I don't care what the explanation is, I'm down. I didn't think any scenario would make me uncomfortable.... but then the younger love interest was exact parallel to the older love interest's dead daughter in age, personality, and interests and it was weird.

Ex-Boyfriends Dad? Check. Small Town Ranch? Check.

I mean what more could you possibly want. This was so hot but also adorable. I’m obsessed with Noah and Fisher!

Will definitely be reading more from Brooke Montgomery.

the written dialect killed me. i think i would have enjoyed this so much more if it hadn’t been so overdone. i get it, they have an accent. it was like a caricature of a southern person, and had me tempted to DNF. this got a fair amount of hype and had pretty good reviews, so i stuck with it, but never got over my aversion to the way their dialogue was written. it was too much. it was so much that i almost overlooked how many times they talked about taylor swift. almost.

i’m curious about the next book, but i don’t know if i’ll be able to read it if they’re still speaking in hick and obsessed with taylor swift. we’ll see.

This is the first book in the series, but go read the prequel. Trust me it's so good! Now going into this one it is a little out of my reading comfort zone. Fisher is her ex's dad and there is a 20+ age gap. I'm so glad I gave this a go not only because I feel a bit for the Hollis family in the prequel, but it is such a good book. Fisher is deliciously yummy and so perfect for Noah. That doesn't mean it is going to be an easy road because did I mention this one night stand is the new farrier on Noah's family ranch. Things are going to get quite interesting. They may have a lot stacked against them, but you cannot deny the chemistry and connection between them. Boy do they bring the steam. Fisher is very commanding in the bedroom. Many fan yourself moments. There is also plenty of heart and feels in this book as well. It does pull all the emotions out of the reader. It is definitely a book that is hard to out down! I loved the tease for the next book in the series! I really can't wait!!

This book was okay.. the character development felt shallow, and in my opinion there were a lot of instalove vibes which is not my jam. While the characters relationship developed over a decent period of time, as readers we don’t see that aspect, we only get the physical intimacy and maybe 2-3 serious conversations meanwhile the characters continue to talk about their strong connection.

Also the conflict resolution in this book felt unrealistic to me… there is literally no way Jase was just okay with this situation after one conversation with his dad
