When you start reading a reverse harem, you know you're not looking for anything intellectually stimulating or groundbreaking, but instead the genre falls into what is known as "junk food." There are bad junk food books that are like extra greasy McDonalds or there's top of the line, someone knows what they're doing, Mad Mex Nachos. This one was Nachos. DUDE IT WAS SO GOOD. It kinda fell out of the normal set up of the reverse harem tropes (e.g. one guy is an asshole, one guy is mysterious, and one guy is a golden retriever), but I think in the next few books, this will be fleshed out a bit more. The ending was not what I expected and neither was the stalker subplot. I'm super interested to see what happens, who was stalking her, and then why Archer's blade was where it was. Also I want to know more about Bree, Zane and Dallas. Her dad can drown off the coast of Italy in his fancy yacht for all I care tho.

Thank-you to NetGalley, Bloom Books, and Tate James for the eARC.

Okay. So. This genre? Very much not my thing. I honestly don't even remember my thought process when requesting this book — I think I was just excited to get a whole series, TBH. Would I have made it more than like 10% if this wasn't a NetGalley ARC? Probably not. HOWEVER, I must admit, I am intrigued and am looking forward to seeing this series through.

That being said, I know exactly which customers to recommend this series to and they will be THRILLED. =P

I’ve heard soo much about Hate (and the Madison Kate series in general) but put off checking it out for soo long—and now, having all but devoured it, I can’t believe I waited soo long!

I don’t know what kind of witchcraft went into making this but I was throughly hooked and genuinely couldn’t put it down. The plot was a lot more action packed than I had expected and all three of the love interests were fabulously broody (or in Kody’s case ridiculously flirty) in the most delicious of ways. If you love the intensity and chemistry of a classic enemies to lovers—but yearn for a spicier outcome —then this’ll definitely be right up your alley!

I’m still quite new to dark romance, particularly of the contemporary variety (I’m an epic fantasy girl at heart), but found this quite an easy intro into the  genre and think it’s a good starting point for anyone also new to dark romance.

Obviously given the dark designation, it does deal with themes that may not appeal to everyone, and as such, I highly suggest checking the TWs beforehand.

The drama, the atmosphere and THAT nail biting, cliffhanger of an ending! I have soo many questions, the most important being WHO IS MADISON’S CREEPY STALKER?! I can’t for the life of me figure it out, so I’ll definitely need to get my hands on the rest of the series ASAP!

Also, a huge thank you to Bloom books and Tandem Collective for the PB copy

OMG!! THIS BOOK IS SO SO GOOD!!

This book is the type of book that makes you want to not put it down at all and want to read the next books and  find out how the story of the characters continues.

On Halloween night, Kate and Bree were supposed to be at a party, but they snuck into an MMA match where Archer was fighting. Except that the events of that evening lead to something unpleasant for Kate. After a few good months, she returns and when she finds out that those who put her in the situation that evening, live in the same house as her, she is ready to take revenge.

But can this revenge can be done when the these three men are hot and know how to increase the tension between them and her?

Max, Kody and Archer are super hot. I liked Max and Kody the most because they don't hesitate to show their sweet side to Kate.  Archer he's the big alpha and is tougher with Kate, but I liked those moments too.  Let's say that he takes the protectiveness to the maximum.

Thank you Tate James and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.

I think it’s safe to say I’m super late to reading this series. Tate James put something in these pages and I couldn’t get enough! And that cliffhanger ending??

This is one of those books where I feel like you need to go in blind. And, although the character Madison Kate can be a little juvenile at times, there’s just something in the way James writes that kept me hooked and wanting more? This was a page-turner and I need to know what happens next!

What you can expect:
🤨Suspense
🖤a dark, bully romance
🔫Mafia/gang
❤️‍🔥Reverse Harem
🌶️Spice

There are too many triggers to mention, so please check content warnings before picking this up!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the complimentary e-arc in exchange for an honest review. All opinions in this review are my own.

Super sexy slow burn dark romance. Less smut than I expected, but the sexual tension and build up was perfection. It wasn’t very dark to me: some gang references, a little violence, and mentions of a murder and stalker. But I can see how things will get both spicier and darker as the story line continues. My biggest issue was the mega cliffhanger and how almost nothing came to a solid conclusion in this book & thus forces the reader to book 2 for any satisfactory ending on current plot threads. I loved the main characters and each dynamic that the 3 main guys bring to the table. MK is sassy and fun - though I suspect she has poor taste in friends lol. A fun indulgent romance! I plan on reading book 2

I had seen this book around before it blew up on Booktok, but I was never really interesred in reading it. Then seeing everyone rave about it, I was more curious, but it still did not seem like something I would enjoy. Boy, was I wrong? I could literally not put this down, and I already want to read the second.
