this book was a trip! one of THE most unreliable narrators i’ve ever read. i looooooove when the narrator (and therefore i) can’t tell the difference between reality and delusion. in this case though i lowkey had no idea what was going on about half the time. super well written and engaging! can’t wait to watch the movie.

Amazing story! Couldn’t put it down, even though I had a feeling of doom from the start. Loved most of the characters and cheered every win they managed. But the Big Nurse gave me chills. Chief and McMurphy are two of the best characters I’ve read/heard in some time. Their vast differences yet personal connection made this the ultimate buddy adventure, even as the reader knows it cannot have a happy ending. This one will live in my head and my heart for a while.
