This book was so good! It not only had the mystery of how Olivia fell but it also dealt with a mothers grief, the mother daughter relationship, and so much more. While Abi is desperately trying to find out what happened the Night Olivia Fell she is dealing with grief, loneliness and memories of her life before and with her daughter. It's a story about love, forgiveness, and moving on when you truly don't want to!

Wow, this was an emotional read from the get-go! Definitely could feel the Big Little Lies vibes, and this book did not disappoint. I'm obviously a sucker for this intense, emotional, and haunting books, so this one fit right in with my favorites. Certainly a great read if you like thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat and have endings that stick with you for days...if not weeks...to come.

Decent mystery story. I didn't really connect to any of the characters so it didn't feel very multi-dimensional to me.

expected olivia’s death to be the result of family secrets, especially due to the fact that the plot centered around gavin’s evil character, but the ending is so heartwarming

"But there are no redos in life. You can’t go back and make things better. All you can do is live with it and move forward.”

This is a great story that I received on my Kindle as an ARC a while ago from Netgalley. It's told from the perspectives of Olivia and her mom Abi, alternating between the past as Olivia and the present as Abi, telling the story about the night Olivia fell from a bridge and went into a coma. Abi discovered after the call that Olivia was pregnant, and she strongly believes that her fall was not an accident. She has a mother's intuition that Olivia was murdered and works with and against the detectives to get answers. And she only has until the baby is born, because that means Olivia will come off of life support.

The story has lots of good characters, lots of twists, and doesn't give in to the obvious. Olivia is a typical teenager who keeps her own secrets, and Abi is a typical overbearing mom with secrets of her own. Reading both of their stories and knowing that it ends in tragedy, you wish you could step in and help them solve it before it's too late, but it's still heartbreaking to watch it unfold. I really like the mother/daughter storyline here and think that separates it from many other mystery thrillers out there.
