A great way to make a difficult subject easier to talk and read about. Death is a part of life. And talking about it like you’re discussing what you are gonna eat for dinner is a great way to start the conversation.

The whole thing was very interesting, but “The Art of Dying” was something else- haunting, poignant, and uplifting.

I found the subject matter to be interesting and while it definitely made me think a lot about my own mortality and death as a concept, there were some things in the book that just really gave me the ick, like the humor and some of the comments she made regarding mental health and culture. Even as a history lover, I also found myself a little bit bored as she explained some of the historical background as it felt disconnected to the story she was telling, but it was interesting to hear her thoughts and experiences.
