Whenever there is a friends with benefits agreement, it's usually easy to figure out how things will end. Possibility #1 ends with the two individuals hating each other. Which results in the loss of their previous friendship, or the potential for a future one. Possibility #2 ends with the two characters falling in love and living happily ever after. (I want to point out that saying 'happily ever after,' may sound cheesy or juvenile, but isn't that what we all want in our lives? To be happy and healthy?)
From the start of the book, you know you're going to get a happy ending. Which, for me, is part of the appeal of books like this. But, I was not expecting Reeve to be the one to call things off. I thought that Audria would come back from Christmas with her family more homesick than before. And she'd remind Reeve that she will only be in Bampton for a short period of time. In my mind, the book would end with a surprise proposal and Audria would decide to stay in Bampton after getting engaged.

Just wasn’t for me. The characters seemed like they were trying to hard to be witty and I just wasn’t a huge fan of Reeves. Maybe I’ll try again at some point.

Such a strong start, I had high hopes. But as soon as the heroine gets into the small town and she and the hero start hanging out together, the hero ends up being so red-flaggy and the heroine turns out to be dishwater. Too many cringe, old-fashioned stereotypes in this one. Womp Womp.
Harloe Rae does it again! I swear her books gets better every time. This was a light-hearted, swoon worthy read about a country boy & a city girl.
Audria relocates to a small town for a teaching job with the intentions of moving after one year. What she didn’t plan on was meeting Reeve, self-proclaimed bachelor for life. Sparks fly when they meet & Reeve turns on the charm instantly.
I love how their relationship progressed. Their banter was funny & they were easy to relate with. I highly recommend this book!

Leave Him Loved is a sweet slow burn romance. I always enjoy Harloe’s writing and this book did not disappoint. A city girl meets a country boy and they quickly become the talk of the town. Audria is a city girl who has moved to the middle of no where to a small town far away from her family and friends. After meeting Reeve, they become fast friends. Their attraction to one another is instant. I love these characters and their banter will have you laughing. I hope to see more of these characters and their charming small town that you can’t help but fall in love with.

I just didn’t connect with these characters. I felt with the way Reeve was so insistent in the beginning that they not become involved, that there had to be something major from his past he was holding onto. Especially with the way Dottie seemed to single him out for extra “disdainful” gossip. But there was no big reveal at the end and I actually felt like the ending was pretty anticlimactic. Maybe I’m petty and bitter but I think Reeve needed to do a bit more groveling, not just sending gifts. Overall I thought it was an okay story. I love small town romances and the never-ever dates were a nice touch, this just wasn’t a favorite.
