An excellent finale to a great trilogy. Rounds off the story very well, with another engrossing plot and a damning criticism of Sweden's externally apparent 'utopia' society.

The end of this trilogy was good enough for me, nothing I can complain about considering all the loose ends were neatly tied. It's rare for me but the first book was my least favorite of the three.
I finished the entire trilogy, so I guess I can't say I actually disliked these books, but I'm not sure I actually enjoyed them that much either; this last book especially I felt as though I had to drag myself through it. I'm generally willing to overlook a lacking writing style if it's just an entertaining thriller, but I felt like rolling my eyes at some of the dialogue or thoughts of the characters. What somewhat confuses me is how this trilogy became such a massive success, as to me the plot felt fairly bogged down by all the time spent on Swedish politics and bureaucracy. I probably wouldn't have stuck with the book all the way through if I hadn't already read both the other books in the series.

He wrapped it up nicely, but it's hard to believe there will be no more.
My favorite of the Stieg Larsson trio, probably because I am a gal who loves her police procedurals. Law & Order, FTW!
I really liked the way the author wrapped this series up. I was captivated throughout the series and thouroughly enjoyed them. I am so excited to see the American movie of book one and the Swedish movies of all of the books.
This whole series has been a great chapter (as it were) in my book-reading life. I struggle to find books that engage me as fully as these have. I think the main thing that I enjoyed about this novel is the clarity with which the story is presented - even though the events are incredibly complicated and interlinked, I didn't find it at all difficult to follow. However, I also did not find it predictable or cliched which is a very hard balance to strike. I enjoyed the preciseness of the timings that were used - 'Blomkvist left the office at [such time], got a sandwich at [such time] and returned to his apartment by [such time]'.
Finally, I found several aspects of the characters Blomkvist and Salander very amusing, I won't detail them here for fear of spoilers but I did chuckle out loud once or twice.
This series comes highly recommmended.
