It took me a while to rustle up a copy of this, dad was up north with his copy when I finished the second book which finished on a cliff hanger. It was worth the wait, and I'm glad I read it when I was on holidays because there wasn't quite so much to neglect, and I had time to read while on the beach with the kids.

The best part of the book is Lisbeth, in spite of being very strange, antisocial and violent, I just can't help liking her. The bad guys in this book are not quite so well-rounded, they are all very, very bad. Neidermann, who buried Lisbeth at the end of the first book is the stuff of nightmares, he brought to mind Jaws in the James Bond movies, who completely freaked me out when I was younger.

A great escapist read.

I was thrilled to finally read this final book in Larsson's phenomenal trilogy. It did not disappoint...until the final 75 pages....something was off. I'm not sure if Larsson was unable to fully edit and complete this novel before his death, but his "voice" was missing here. The storyline was excellent; riveting and page-turning as always, however.

Picking right up from where Girl Who Played with Fire stopped (thankfully, because that was a really cruel way to drop things), this ended up being much more of a legal thriller than I would have expected. Having played my share of Phoenix Wright games, I was totally able to get into this (especially the last chunk during the actual court hearing).

The mix of the conspiracy surrounding Lisbeth Salander's history, hacker espionage, and legal thriller was highly entertaining, and just as hard for me to put down as the other two. I was happy with the way things were tied up pretty solidly at the end of this, and all the characters felt very true to themselves. Very satisfying!

Really enjoyed this conclusion to the Millenium Trilogy. I loved the fact that we finally get to see Lisbeth evolve which is something I struggled with in the first two books. Very satisfying ending.

Not as strong as the first two novels. Nevertheless, I found this to be an excellent trilogy and I'm glad I read them.
