There's a lot to say about this book, and there's a reason there's a highly regarded 7 hour movie based on it. It's incredible, the prose, the story, the philosophical, political journey. This book is hard to put down, can't wait to read his other novels.

A book that manages to find empathy and humour in a bunch of unlikeable people in horrible circumstances. At times satirical, but reflective and thought-provoking throughout. I greatly enjoyed its unconventional structure, and the boldness of ending on an unfinished sentence. I do feel some of the characters blended together a little, but overall a great read.
