Ok, I'm really loving this series so far!! I loved the emotional depth of this novel. I definitely can relate to the "when you know, you know" feeling and I love it when this is well done in novels.

The characters were in their 30s and struggling with some deep shit. I love a book that makes me cry and this did it for me.

I will DEF be continuing this series!!

Amazing story

Wow. This story has me hooked immediately. While I definitely giggled at the “old” boy band singer who now acts on a New York cop show (hello Donnie Wahlberg??!), it was such an enlightening story to see Heather just BOLT after meeting Eli. The entire story pulled at my heartstrings: her parents, her sister, etc etc etc (I’m not giving out any spoilers!). This will definitely be a re-read.

Corinne Michaels took one of those ultimate teenage "what ifs" and made it a reality in this entertaining story look at what happens when that teenage crush becomes your entire world.

It was hard not to love Eli and Heather together.  From the moment Heather drunken yells out "I love you" to Eli during his boy band's concert you knew this couple was going to turn each other's world upside down.  And as they both try to figure out how to keep the status quo while not giving up the other we get a funny, sexy and sometimes heartbreaking view of two special people figuring out how to adjust their lives and keep the love of their life.

Corinne Michaels does angst very, very well.  But WE OWN TONIGHT has some levity and proves (at least to me) that this author has me hooked, no matter what she writes.

This series is already a winner for me, and I’m only one book in. I am a huge fan of books where a celebrity meets a “normal” person and they fall in love. This one is perfect for anyone who has every been a fangirl of their favorite boy band (One Direction for me) and is looking to escape for a little. As with all of Corinne’s books, there is a book emotional component as the main character’s sister is grappling with Huntington’s Disease. However, I do love how she included such an amazing and supportive group of girl friends that acted as the backbone for support. Also, the romance was tender, swoony and had the perfect amount of steam to balance the plot!

Read if you like:
-Second chances after divorce
-Insta love
-Celebrity hero
-Boy bands
-MCs in late 30s
-Supportive group friends that get their own books

I’m not sure why this one is so hard for me to rate. I read the story quick and I was invested in what happened with the characters. I enjoyed the side characters as well. I felt like the book had a unique storyline that I haven’t read before especially with how the two MC’s meet. I think my biggest hang up was that it was a little instalove for me and it wasn’t done in a believable way for me. But the end I believed but not in the moment. I think if we got more of Eli’s POV that would have alleviated that for me. Overall in joyed the story and I will read this author again and continue this series.

This was one for the books! I really thought I had this book figured out and then boom, curveball! You got me, Michaels! One thing I liked about this book was how real it felt. We had happy times, sad times and good times all in one. This book was an accurate representation of the highs and lows of life and how we face these challenges head on! It's been a while since I've read a Corinne Michaels book and it was an enjoyable read, the characters were relatable, lovable and real. This story flowed and I finished the book in one day.

Heartbreaking. Sweet. Wholesome. Beautiful. Tear jerker. Heavy. So much depth

This book was so much more than I was expecting, and I'm not sure why I didn't expect it! Corinne's books gut me and stitch me back up by the end every time!

When I saw this was leaving audible's free listens I jumped at the opportunity. It's been on my TBR for too long, honestly. I hate I didn't read it sooner. But I'm so glad I got the opportunity to!

“I told you before that we could only own tonight, but that was bullshit, I’m going to own all of our days, nights, and every tomorrow.”

Heather has spent most of her life caring for her chronically ill sister after the death of both of her parents! She's always kept her sister her top priority and lives her life by a set of rules!

When she meets Eli, his persistence has her breaking all her rules! He's been her childhood celebrity crush since his band first became popular! But she never thought the dream of having him as hers would ever become reality.

After an unforgettable night, she quickly gathers up her stuff and bolts the second he goes to use the bathroom! She never considered he would want more from an average person like her.

Eli, however, didn't agree! The second he realized she was gone, he ran after her. Finding her clumsily jumping a fence to get away from him as quickly as possible! Eli wasn't used to girls running, and he wasn't used to being told no. Luckily, fate was on his side and put them back in each other's paths!

Eli was so swooooonyyy! I usually hate a rockstar romance trope and tend to avoid them! But this one was so worth it and not your usual celebrity/rockstar romance!

I loved the relationship between Heather and her sister! And Andi did an INCREDIBLE job narrating her sister!!! And pouring the emotions onto their interactions! Absolutely flawless!!!

There really wasn't a third act break up, which I appreciated! We got a cool down period where Heather walked away from Eli because he said something harsh. But NO long drawn out misunderstanding!
