Went into this blind knowing it was very popular and polarizing when it came out last year. Was not what I expected and though the characters are not very likable, the scares and atmospheric horror was well written and effective and I really enjoyed it!

Kind of a slow start and middle. I hated the family - very annoying, they treat her poorly, and she never stands up for herself. But I did like the lore and entity. Not really scary but I liked how the main character navigated the haunting. She’s so passive I felt her character build up by the end
