This was an interesting one, I picked up a later book in the series but I prefer to read in order so I grabbed this one and I liked it. I didn't love it, I felt the Cicada and the Whale where a bit underdeveloped, other than being crazy, but I enjoyed how all the story lines came together.

3.5 /5- interesting story, came to this book from watching bullet train and had some expectations that it would be similar to that, but it didn't really hit that for me. I did think it was an interesting story, the characters all have something they are dealing with but they intertwine with each other as well.
