This took a bit for me to get into, but I ended up really enjoying the multiple stories. The Whale with his guilt complex was my favorite, although I also appreciated Suzuki

realizing there is no point in trying to avenge his wife

. More philosophical than I would have expected given the amount of action, and all the better for it.
