I love anything Cassandra Clare writes, but it’s been 2 books, and I still don’t buy Cordelia and James’ relationship. Oh and I just love Matthew.

She had me…. Right up to the end. Then it was all UGH, NO, WHYYYY and AGAIN?
So glad I waited until all of these were out before reading them bc I would have been UPSET at the cliffhanger.
Spoilerly thoughts-
Jenna totally called the Jesse being the murderer thing and I missed that ENTIRELY. I still stand by the fact he truly cares for Lucie.
Love that the Malcom Fade and Annabel storyline is woven throughout this. Anna continues to intrigue. I want an Alistair/Thomas ship, and didn’t hate Grace and Christopher’s interaction in the lab.
Cordelia and Matthew UGH- this is not how this should have happened. I genuinely have no idea how this is going to go.
So glad they are actually including the adults in the plot and that Matthew and Cordelia have told each other secrets. But this is not the parabatai bond I am used to.
And the incest storyline AGAIN?!
Just, why??

Honestly that was a very good book. The characters in this series are so vivid and interesting, I absolutely adore them.
This book was more action driven. We had a lot of separate points of views and plots that were intertwined with each other. All of them intriguing and adding to the main plot. Despite the fact that the book is long it reads quickly but oh my god the ending. Everything was in such a good place and then it all went to hell, I already want the last book so badly.
