Definitely will be reading more of her work.
I truly love the honesty with the self that is portrayed from the first page to the end. It’s so real, and beautiful. The author does an amazing job in capturing every word for each poem to make it more universal while still being so personal. It touched the deepest parts of my being that I have kept locked away, kept hidden, and have healed from. It reminded me of the pain of heartbreak, of what it takes to love oneself, what it’s like to heal, to dig your own self out of the pits.
I love this. So so good.

Loved this! Read on KU, but would definitely buy the print version to reread.

While some of these poems blew me away, particularly the anxiety-related one that is popular on TikTok, I felt that half of the passages were a bit repetitive & corny in a Tumblr-esque way. Some of the poems were also not super unique or thought-provoking, and it almost seemed “too easy” at times. Overall, I’m glad I gave it a chance because the good poems are worth the read.
