College quarterback James Callahan is focused on the NFL, until he's forced to retake a writing class. Enter Beckett "Bex" Wood, his reluctant tutor. She agrees to help him if he pretends to be her boyfriend to throw off her ex. What starts as a simple arrangement quickly turns into something real, blurring the lines between fake dates and genuine feelings.

First Down is a fun, spicy college sports romance full of heart. The story blends classic rom-com tropes with real emotional depth, touching on ambition, healing, and personal growth.

I enjoyed it for the most part but didn’t like how inst-love it was instead of fake dating. I also got an ick over how crazy and obsessed James got over her.

I will read the next book in the series because I loved his brothers and want to see what happens.

Nice sports romance with a bit of spicy and a lot of drama

Really fun and cute. So much fluff, no unnecessary drama and a super cute romance book. Loved every character and the plot even if it is cliche.
