Safe to say this was darker than I expected - definitely romantic suspense. I didn’t love the way the mystery storyline was executed. Part of it I definitely saw coming. The romance was cringey at some points and I didn’t like some of the couple’s conflict. But in the end, their connection was really cute and I liked seeing the rest of the Eden siblings to prepare for their books!

This book made me realize that romance with a mystery subplot is one of favourite genres! I loved that there was no third act break-up. The characters talked to each other like the mature adults they are! I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series!
