this book was so short that just reading it for 30 minutes means you’ve ready about 25% of it, esp bc it’s SO fast paced you fly through every page (even w the speech written in Billy’s accent) . despite the shortness , a lot still happened and i knew the ending would be what it was and it still broke me💀 so much life and rawness displayed so evidently in a small space of time is a real feat and i’m not surprised this book became a classic ! i felt so hard for billy and barry hines did a perfect job at making you root for him against all the odds💔 spoilers in content warnings x
