Really loved this book!! I cried way more than I was expecting, but I really enjoyed it. I thought it was very reflective, and joyous, and full of heart. The structure was really fun, I really loved getting multiple perspectives and the layout of the book. Very good read.

A good book to read to reflect on a possible future where you know you will die on the day you die. Explores different scenarios, emotions, etc. However, it is really interesting how all the character interplay with each other for this 24 hour period.

The first section was really slow, but the characters grew on me quickly once they were together. The last two sections felt much faster and I actually had to pause my reading because I couldn’t see through my tears. It was a very intense cry that felt really good but it emotionally wrecked me for days (lovingly). I also read the short story about Mateo’s dad that was included in my copy, pushing through even more tears. You can kind of zone out the beginning, but I would definitely recommend if you want a good cry and some hope in humanity. Love is always inspiring, especially in cases like these.

I really like this book. I have a special interest about death I think about it a lot I talk about it a lot so I was like a course I'm going to love this book. The first four points goes to the way that the story is set uw even though the main characters no death is coming they have very different reactions and how they find each other. I usually don't like split povs but I really like this one because not only where we in the main characters head we were in other characters heads ones that we're going to die that day once that were in relation to the main characters and what's that don't really know the characters but interact with them or saw them. All the povs mattered and and added a tense to the book that I really appreciated.
the way is that the book kept teasing me with their death and in the last chapters when Mateo turned on the stove I was like no this is not his end they did this before he's going to survive and he didn't had me balling at work. Even though the story tells you they're both going to die in the end book makes you believe that they won't until they fucking do.
It was depressing and it killed me in some places the way that they've talked about their own lives like it was already over even though they were still living. The additional 0.5 Points goes to making them gay I really appreciate it that. It added a lot of depth to the end that I thought was especially interesting.
