Spoilers: Sort of. This was a great read. It was heartfelt and funny. I found myself rooting for them to get together even though Bailey leaving Noah the way she did ten years ago was awful. At the end it’s weird that Noah and Bailey are together while their parents are together
This book was ok. But it was also just a lot of stuff that didn’t make sense.
There is no way that Bailey”s father had never met Noah”s mother before.
You’re telling me that your daughter is engaged to a man who gets into a terrible car accident and you never go and visit him? Of course they would have, and they would have met Gwen as well.
Also I think the author needed to really double down on Baileys depression. It was only really ever hinted at. I think really showing it would have gone a long way at allowing the reader to understand her (and her decision) a little more.
Also what’s with having your FMC always saying stupid things? Come on. Bailey is supposed to be a social worker, she would be better than this!
Then the dad allowing Gwen and Noah to treat Bailey like crap (not wholly undeserved) without saying a thing?
And laughing about her ex? Doesn’t matter if he is a piece of shit. Lily is listening and so is Bailey!

If you’re going to write about a disability, do more research. All of the stuff about prosthetics is poorly done. Bailey, the main character seems to hate her child, too.

So good!
This was totally different from any story this author has written (believe me, I've read a lot) and I loved it. Who doesn't love second chances?

MyvPerfect Ex Boyfriend is more than I bargained for. I ended up liking this book very much. If I were Bailey, I would berating myself breaking up with the perfect Noah.
What I want more is for Miss Costa to descripe more of Bailey struggle during Noah surgery and her mother illness. The heart break, thd loneliness and the isolation she faced during that time so I can connect more with her struggle.
The story is told from Bailey's POV. Bailey mishap during her time with Noah is also hilarious.

I have to wonder if the author liked her heroine!?
So many times during the book she made the heroine go through hard times and it didn't need to be that emotionally involved on just her.
If I started ticking off all the things I would have spoiled the whole plot.
I guess I kept listening because I was hoping it would get better and it did.
Bailey's daughter stole the show for me and really was why I kept listening.
The cabin and the way Gwen treated Bailey I was very against, I get it I do but come on it she was sooooo young did anyone expect any less? I just sign hate when it feels like all the characters are ganging up on one character doesn't make for a good story in my opinion.
I did enjoy the narration I think Madeleine Dauer did a fantastic job.

3.5*
Started out a little slow and uncomfortable, but towards the end it turned out like a good chicklit should be.
