I cannot put into words how much I hated this book. There was not a single character that was even remotely likeable. Every second I spent reading it, I grew more disgusted by everything. All of it. So. Bad. If you are looking to read an Erin Watt book check out When It’s Real and skip this disaster. Have mercy.
This book made me feel all of the emotions. I felt stressed and angry and heartbroken and ecstatic. I sobbed along with the main characters, and I raged when side characters were terrible. It was an amazing book, but it isn’t a light one, so grab that tissue box.

I really liked this book. A quick, addicting read. I recommend it to anyone who needs a GOOD “get through quick” book.
I received this through Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
Beth’s life drastically changed when her sister was killed in a car accident. Her parents have created a figurative prison around her, in attempt to keep her safe. They monitor all texting, track her whereabouts, quit her job for her, and took her bedroom door. This over-the-top hovering is making Beth lash out. She lies to her parents to attend a party, where she hooks up with some random hot guy. However, in school the next day, Beth finds out that the random hot guy was not so random after all, it is Chase/Charlie the guy whose car hit and killed her sister. She is romantically attracted to him, but feels that she is betraying her sister. Can Beth and Chase find a way to be together?
This novel was super dramatic. It was Lifetime movie brought up ten levels. Even though it was hard to read because of that, I still enjoyed the characters and could find glimmers of potential. I was moved by one of the scenes where Beth and Chase were “re-meeting” at the animal shelter. There were several quality scenes in this book, but they were lost in the drama.
