This book is incredibly fast paced. I love Evangeline’s personality, even if she is a little slow and confused. Graveyard scene>. I’m kinda going back and forth on the plot. Idk how I feel about it yet, but it’s still might be interesting. Also the cover is preppy-

There is something about the world building in Stephanie Garber’s books, that I simply adore. It always feels so real as magical as it all is. There’s a logic behind it somehow. I get so sucked in. I wasn’t sure how this series would hold up. I adore Caraval. But my gosh, this first book was an amazing start. I really like Evangeline. Even if she is a bit quick to jump to conclusions and not think things through. There’s still something about her I love so far. I’m also enjoying learning more about Jacks. I didn’t love him in the other series, but he’s warming up to me in this one thus far.
