Loved this despite myself. Despite beginning the book with no intention of making it to the end. But Ava, the protagonist was compelling. Compellingly flawed. Compellingly lovely. This was a complex, human, nice love story. Naoise's writing was full and fast, and left me a little breathless — but in the best way possible. A little reminiscent of early Sally Rooney books! Quite nice!

I didn’t dislike this book but it was also a bit of a challenge.

The slightly ambiguous ending was pleasant after what felt like it could’ve been a disappointing ending

You know when your friend has been in a situationship for like a year with a man who doesn’t even like her? And she won’t take any of your advice. Yeah that’s this book. It’s incredibly frustrating. You can see the choices that should or shouldn’t be made and girlie always picks the wrong option.

I loved Edith but also she deserved so much better!!!! Let her go dude. I love and hate a protagonist villain and that truly was Ava.

I enjoyed the writing style, hated the plot choices. But it’s realistic of human error. Especially being 22-23!! It’s so messy!!!
