Legal Ease is a story about a marriage of convenience that becomes less about convenience more about love.
Bachelor for life, Jack, has a dilemma. He needs to get married by the end of the week. No prospects and not willing to give up his company, Jack is desperate.
Kelly is desperate to she her dreams realized. Yale Law, how awesome, she got accepted but she can't pay the tuition. At lunch with her best friend, Kelly learns about Jack's problem and decides they are each other's solution.

Some times solutions cause more problems...

It's a fun, quick read. Everyone loves a story where the hero realizes the reason he is so upset is because he's in love.

Cute

It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything different. I don’t think I fully connected to characters. It’s a cute read.

Had to read it because of the title (and it was free on Amazon)... not great, not terrible. Sweet and entirely unbelievable. Maybe a good beach read as a free book, but not something I'd buy.

This was a perfectly pleasant, fairly predictable marriage of convenience romance. Billionaire risks losing his company unless he is married within the week. His temporary secretary overhears the conversation and tells her BFF over lunch. Said BFF has been offered a place at Harvard but can't afford the tuition - are you thinking what I'm thinking?

The romance is gentle and fairly uncontroversial, there is a bitter and twisted aunt who tries to prove the marriage is a fake and she tries to stir up trouble.

Then there is a random plot that comes out of nowhere and makes no sense.
Spoiler She gets kidnapped by human traffickers who steal rich entitled women (WTF?) - surely they are most likely to have sufficient funds and resources to track down said kidnappers, no?

Anyway, I don't know if it's the hot weather or I'm going through a puritan stage but yet again I thought the sex was too frequent, and pretty pointless.

Also, randomly, I have no idea why the book is called Legal Ease and it bothers me!

Good book

Jack is the CEO of his own company and is in jeopardy of losing it if he doesn't get married soon. Lucky for him Kelly will be the answer to his prayers and all she asks in return is for him to pay her law school tuition. Little did they know entering into such a relationship would lead to them actually falling in love. This is a good story. It could use a bit more character development and the ending was rushed but it was a good fast read and it kept me entertained.

I thought this story was adorable and at times downright funny. Every character is likeable... except Aunt Mabry, but that's the point. Overall, a good time.

Despite the very common setup, the beginning of this book had a lot of charm and really hooked me in. However, the last third seemed to wrap up all of the threads far too quickly and easily, which made our characters' struggle seem much weaker. It worked okay; it just regressed to be a typical romance novel.
