What a journey for this character. From beaten and bruised to badass chick who gets vengeance and justice. All while getting the man of her dreams and group of charming support characters along the way. Very fast and fun read! I can’t wait to read more about Jess’s adventures with her love and the band.

Jess (h) flees an abusive relationship only to be badly injured when he catches up with her. She takes refuge with Diego, a heavy metal guitarist friend of her sister. He and his friends help Jess as she heals, and over time Diego and Jess develop feeling for one another in this slow burn romance. Diego is very protective and caring towards Jess as he helps her rebuild herself. It was a nice storybut not as much heat as what I typically read and definitely took a while for things to build - first kiss isn't until end of chapter sixteen (out of eighteen).
