so, this one was super easy to read the second time around, because the first time i tried reading it, i ended up dnf-ing the book. however, i can’t say i’m terribly impressed with the story. i think my main issue was with the MC and how young her voice came off as, it certainly didn’t read as a YA novel. i did like how the topic of sexism was approached – that’s probably the only time i actually liked the main character. i think the book simply tried to do too much at once, so it felt rushed at times. overall, not a bad read, but not something i would see myself picking up again.

This was a really cute read, and the ending actually made me tear up a bit. Love the message.

Also I guessed Sourdawg's identity way before it was revealed.

This was a delight to read. It played in my head like a Chinese drama and I would KILL to see it made into a movie. It was surprisingly tough and I felt sucked back into high-school. Kiki had it hard but she ultimately finds her way back to herself. The romance was sweet and I LOVED how it tossed troupes upside down in the best way. I accidentally read this one first so I will have to go back and read her first book.
