I wanted to like this book but Clay and Fawn relationship was so distributing. As if their age gap wasn’t bad enough (she’s 18 & he’s 35) he acted like her father and she acted like his child. Their entire dynamic was him telling her what to do and her following along no questions asked or acting bratty then something sexual happened. There was no communication or acting like adults. The book also kept making me uncomfortable when he would said things like “What do I do with a teenage girl?” or “This is my sweet, young body.” He made many more creepy comments referring to her body about how tiny, tight and young it was.

I hated finishing these and did not expect to love Clay and Fawn as much as I did! I am usually not a huge fan of age gap romances but sufficiently loved these two books! I wish we got to see more of them having their children and getting married, with Aurora as Fawns maid of honor… Wish we got to read about their ultimate happy ending

Follow up to “His Pretty Little Burden” and omg it was perfect!!!! I absolutely adore Clay and Fawn and their dynamic! In this sequel you get to see Fawn heal and grow even more into herself and Clay continues to find her taking over his heart! I have gone back and reread this book and Burden multiple times because of how much I can’t get enough of these two characters together! The way Clay is wants to take every worry away from her and give her every pleasure and knows that one of the things she craves most is someone that loves her enough to not only pleasure her but hold her accountable because she never had someone to show her love or even human decency as she grew up. I loved the ending of this book but of course would love 50 more stories of Clay and Fawn!

I loved both books about them. I wish we would’ve seen Fawn and Aurora together at least once. Also Clay is cool and all but he’s so controlling fr and I get it all the Butcher boys are but idk Clay just didn’t sit right w me and normally I love all the controlling stuff in books but when he told her to ASK HIM before changing anything ab herself that was wild to me

I love Clay and Fawn together but wish the story included Aurora more. I want to know what happens with her, how she feels and where she will fit in this new family dynamic.

This story was action packed with dark happenings but sweet and spicy too.

The only thing I wish there was more of was interaction with the side characters. Hj, Jasmine, the siblings even the bad guys or The cold as ice mother. It would have made a more well rounded story.
