És molt guai pensar que ha estat escrit fa dos segles perquè els personatges tenen pensaments i actuen com si fossin actuals. Shippejo molt en Laurie i la Joe. Llegiré el segon? Maybe, we'll see.

Classic for a reason. Surprisingly modern in structure and characterization, if a bit moralistic (likely characteristic of its time). It’s easy to see how Jo March is such a beloved character
Graphic: Terminal illness
Moderate: Child death, Death, Grief
Minor: Animal death, Suicidal thoughts, Death of parent, Pregnancy, War

hmm … how do i describe my love and adoration for this book properly? little women was written 150 years ago and is STILL ahead of its time. jo is a fierce, tomboyish woman but that doesnt take away from her struggles growing up as a female in a time where being a female is fraught with expectations and hardships.
everything about this book was amazing. i have a special connection with my sisters (1 of 4 girls) and i am the second oldest—so, i’d be the jo of the bunch. the connection i get from this book as an older sister cannot be understated, especially with similar family dynamics. i connected to this deeply, but fortunately my little sister isnt dead.
having a book be about female companionship while being written 150 years ago is incredible. these are lessons that we are learning and appreciating far into the future. jo is tomboyish but sisterly, easy to anger but easy to love. shes loves fiercely and loyally. each character is fleshed out and theres so much to appreciate.

Such a beautifully written story. A perfect balance of humor, romance, and sadness. I feel like everyone can relate to this book in some way. The lessons and situations can transcend generations.
