And then there were . . .

Well-plotted with interesting characters. A group of individuals is invited to a remote spa, only to discover that a very different event has been planned. Each member of the group is hiding a secret, and someone wants justice. The story weaves back and forth from events as they happen and the resulting police search, as well as alternating narrative viewpoints. I guessed the perpetrator but more due to luck and lots of familiarity with the genre rather than poor writing. I liked Mason and Callie and will look for any sequels.

-"Because we all lie. Every one of us, and whoever claims they don’t is the biggest liar of all.”
-“Only those who have risked going out too far can possibly learn just how far one can actually go?”
-You do not need to be defined by the darkness of your past. You deserve a good life, just like everyone deserves a good life. You have atoned. You have a right to feel worthy.”
-“Who knew grief could be so goddamned physical, a dark and sly trickster that blindsided you when you weren’t even thinking about loss,”

Great plot, wonderful characters and a wonderfully dark suspenseful thriller.
I will definitely be keeping my eye out for her next book.
