The framework for change management appears sound, but the authors consistently deploy fatphobic metaphors and examples to illustrate their need for change. Even in the first 40 pages, it felt like every few pages had a reference like saying a “fat doctor” is proof that knowledge doesn’t change behavior.

Framework for getting people to change their behaviors. Quite standard in the psychology and case-study backed self-help books but good principles nonetheless

Normally I don't read "work books" but I'm in a community leadership seminar for which I had to select a book for the seminar's book club. So, this one sounded interesting and I'm glad I chose it. It's all about effecting change without driving yourself and the people in your organization nuts.

Ever find yourself in a situation where you're trying to get people to buy into a simple change and you find yourself banging your head against the wall because they wont change their behavior no matter what you do (carrots, sticks, whining?!) This is the book for you. Interesting insights and intriguing techniques.

I think the information in it was useful, but at the same time I felt like the tone of this book was talking down to the reader the whole time. It almost over-simplified the concepts... of course, this was more or less the goal as that's their whole point about how to effect change. It just wasn't my preferred style of writing.

Outstanding.

This is an important book and pleasurable to read. I also really appreciate the one-page summary of key concepts at the end of the book.
