This was sweet! I've been putting off reading this one for a bit because I'm just really, really over the whole Jock/Nerd trope, and the concept here isn't exactly unique. But in the end, I quite enjoyed myself! The makeover aspect was a little murky and seems to have been abandoned partway through the book, but seeing Andy and Law fall for one another was really cute. Relatively low angst, and I enjoyed the characters and the writing. Personally, I'm the anomaly that thought the 10-year-later epilogue was entirely unnecessary and honestly not at all enjoyable, but I'm almost never a fan of epilogues that take place so far into the future as they often end up feeling really disconnected from the book I just read.

Well, that was just delightful. A lovely, light, and fun summer romance, and just what I needed to read right now.

Friends to Lovers dual point of view
Standalone

Andy is a self conscious physics nerd in love with his childhood best friend, Falcon, the popular athlete. Law is an assistant coach for his collegiate hockey team but dreaming of more. Each needs the others help to achieve their goals - Law needs someone to help his team pass physics and Andy needs someone to coach him on how to catch the eye of Falcon.

Really enjoyed. Super sweet. Predictable, but fun and well written. Had no issues seeing the characters and why they were drawn to each other. Enjoyed Andy’s family. Would have liked to see more of how Law deals with his family after and how Falcon and Law interact.

Cute, I liked this a lot!
Sweet opposites attract with lots of reassurance and a partner that wants the other to succeed.
I will definitely be picking up more from this author…

I'm not one who enjoys college settings. I think it's just because I'm past that stage in my life and it's harder to relate. But, this one was done really well. It was well written and the storyline was good throughout. Some really good scenes to!

I really enjoyed this story! While the trope seemed quite unsurprising I love how the characters developed. Andy did change, but in a „normal“ way; he did not change his complete personality, but the things he cared about & is good in got highlighted.
Also, like others said in other reviews, I like how the situation with Falcon is resolved - yay for no unnecessary drama!
