Honestly really good! Poignant, and not in an obnoxious 18th century way

Boy Gulliver is one interesting man. This book really shows humanity and from a man’s perspective. I wonder if things would’ve been viewed differently if Gulliver was a woman traveling to these foreign places. Only because women are said to have less of an ego. Would Swift still be able to use his satire if genders were changed?

Swift is awesome. This book is too long for what it is. I found his first and last adventures to be the most engaging and, not coincidentally, that is where his satire most often hit the mark.

we need to stop letting things be classics because old white men wrote them
