For the most part, I really enjoyed these two graphic novels. The writing was witty and the stories were fast-paced. However, I was not the biggest fan of the illustrations. The overall style, in my opinion, is just not right for Nancy Drew. The best panels were the ones in the rainstorms where people were silhouetted.

Here are some things I liked:
-In the second story, they referred back to the previous adventure.
-These were two of my favorite lines: "You're right, I should stick to mechanics and fashion consulting." "Usually, a mystery drags me around by the nose. This one had me by my arms."
-In the second story, Bess had this eyeliner that kept making an appearance and for some reason I just thought it was really amusing.
-The amount of really intense SUV facts

Things I didn't like:
-The art. This is the big one. All the girl's bodies are pretty much exactly the same and the style just doesn't fit the tone of the stories.
-They chose to bold words for emphasis... I think? Honestly, it made no sense how they chose this sometimes. It didn't help with clarity at all and had me re-reading.

If you love Nancy Drew, you'll like this. If you don't love ND or you just kind of like it, skip it.
