Very funny, insightful and unique. Not for readers with queasy stomachs.

Author wisely keeps stories short and entertaining. You feel like you're right there with him. I suspect he spared us most of the gore but kept in all the humanity. Really interesting book!
This book was so difficult to put down. At times some of the descriptions and analogies were tasteless (he tried to compare the relationship between medics and firefighters to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict...), but honestly the writing, the humor, and the content were so great that it was easy to look beyond this. My only advice-- don't read while eating. Your appetite will thank me.
