Very interesting premise with enjoyable characters and well-written. I really enjoy found magic type stories and this one was done in a unique way. Also really love tattoos so adding in magic tattoos was amazing. Thoroughly looking forward to starting the next book.

I loved the magic of this story and the comedy woven in with the endearing side characters. Biscuit is my favorite

Slow pace so it didn’t catch my interest enough to read the second.

DID NOT FINISH: 50%

DNF at 50% cause this writing has me gagging 😭 the way these “sexually charged” scenes are being written is so so so cringe and I can’t do it anymore.

The FMC is also SO DAMN THIRSTY for this guy who is being written as the love interest even when he says NO NO NO. Like girl he left u high and dry the first time and tells you no three more times and still u persist on rubbing yourself against him over and over again. Are you ok? Where is ur self respect? If a guy did this to a girl, we’d call it something else.

Also some of the comments on bisexuality has me side eyeing the text.

I did like the Jewish culture and the premise of magical tattoos coming to life but everything else 😭😭😭😭

Inked is like getting your first tattoo: a little magical, a lot exciting, and it leaves you eagerly planning your next one. Rachel Rener seamlessly blends fantasy, romance, and comedy into a concoction that’s as addictive as Talia’s inked up powers ✨

Talia is the kind of heroine you’d want as your best friend… if only to witness the chaos she stirs up with those magical tattoos. And those runes? Freaking amazing! They add a layer of intrigue and power that makes the story even more captivating. Then there's Zayn, the brooding, mysterious love interest who makes you wish you had a Hibiscus of your own. The chemistry between these two is heating up, and their banter is the perfect mix of swoon and side splitting humour.

The world building is rich and vibrant, with enough magical creatures and ink based shenanigans to keep your imagination racing. And I can’t forget to mention Talia’s Jewish mom - She’s like a character straight out of’Curb Your Enthusiasm’. Her hilarious commentary had me in stitches, adding a unique flavour to the story that’s both relatable (helicopter mum!
