Unique, fun, a good read to help me crawl out of a reading slump

It was moderately too long and the pacing dragged a bit at the end, but humor helped me through.
Overall, it was a delight to dive into a Dickensian street in the middle of Wellington.

Rob’s little brother Charley has always been able to read fictionals out of books. So while he doesn’t like coming home to find Sherlock Holmes over for tea, that’s not a big problem, and Charley sends Sherlock back into his book afterwards. But when the Hound of the Baskervilles crashes wide the apartment door, they realize that someone else can read fictionals to life, and that someone isn’t benign in intent!
If you love the idea of chatting with your favorite Victorian heroes (and anti-heroes) without leaving the luxuries of flush toilets and wi-fi, you’ll love Uriah Heep! (Who ever says they’ll love Uriah Heep?)

This was a delightful and hilarious read! It was especially enjoyable to read this at the end of the year and think about all the great books and characters who have wandered through my year of reading. If you're like me and love the 19th century classics this book will be extremely amusing and enjoyable.

For a book lover like me this was a fantastic book. I have read a few other books with this similar concept of a book coming alive. Yet, this is probably one of the best books I have read. It truly was a story within a story.
Imagine playing with the Cat in the Hat, or talking with Charles Dickens, or maybe visiting the Secret Garden. I know that I do every time that I read a book; I go places and meet people. However, to do so in real life would be a dream come true.
Although, what would a grand adventure be without an evil man following you trying to stop you. So, mix this with all of the places and people our three main character leads encounter and you get a magical/fantasy read. I recommend this book.
