This was my first Beth Moore book, and I'm amazed at how perfectly timed this book was for our current times. I listened to this on audio, while working through the Group Experience version with my small group. I don't know about you, but stay-at-home has sapped my ability to concentrate, especially on the important stuff. So I figured every way that I could encounter this content was going to be especially helpful this time.

Moore's clarification of what fruitful really means and how we can be fruitful in even the most difficult of times by simply abiding in God is so reassuring in these troubling times.

This book wandered all over the place and the first 1/4 of the book seemed to just throw in a mention of vines. I was hoping for a deep look at John 15, Very disappointed.

I needed this book more than I thought I did. I think the subtitle "Finding Your Way to an Immensely Fruitful Life" sounds like a self-help book, which this is not. Beth doesn't mess around with feel-good nonsense. She is full of truth and deep insights and love for her Lord. So, so good.

I truly believe that everyone should add Chasing Vines to their list of books to read. It is beautifully written and so deeply smart, I could sob. The amount of heart and research put into this book does not go undetected. And it will be immensely encouraging to you as a believer to live a fruitful life, to let your story and your circumstances matter, no matter where you are in life and no matter what you’ve faced.

This book was recommended by my mom. I've never read a Beth Moore book before but I've heard her speak!
It's written like you're sitting down with her for coffee which makes it all the more wonderful. I never thought reading one book would change my perspective on plants or the Bible, but I'm reading Isaiah now and it's vineyard after vineyard.
I laughed, I cried, and I took a look in the mirror and reflected on my life thus far. I can see where the Lord has pruned and fertilized and relocated the vines. He is always good and always faithful and He sure does love watching things grow.
This is a book I will be thinking about for a very long time.
