As brilliant as I knew and hoped it would be, always a fantastic author. The narrative starts as it means to go on with violent murder after murder, in a matter of fact punchy way which gives great shock appeal and makes you sit up and take notice from the very first paragraph.
The author gives an excellent portrayal of a relentless psychopath who takes ultra violence as day to day occurrence and as easy as my making a mug of coffee, this has great impact and makes it all the more terrifying as does the, seemingly random and innocent nature of the victims. I loved how the plot evolves involving prior serial killer incarcerated in prison and the intertwined domestic abuse storyline which is sensitively handled.
All in all heart stopping, edge of the seat stuff and a satisfying ending. Thank you.

James Patterson just doesn't do it for me anymore. I only read the first few chapters but could tell the story wouldn't pull me in as I had hoped. I read this series when he started the women's murder club and remember loving them. I got my mom reading them and she has kept up with the series. My mom passed away recently so I thought I would pick up reading the series where she left off.... reading it for her. I was hoping for a light read to pull me in, but it is just for me right now. I may pick it up later or maybe go back and pick up where I left off.

First off, I’m a dummy and didn’t know this was the 23rd book in the series. The mixed points of view is a bit jarring at first but quickly adjustable. Plot SPEEDS up and the characters are badasses! Little graphic at times
The Womens Murder Club is back, and they've brought the suspense and thrills back with them!
This instalment continues on with the storyline of the prolific serial killer Burke, and Cindy's book tour, for a book written with Burke about his crimes. But there seems to be a copycat who is killing their victims wherever Cindy has a book signing. Will the Women's Murder Club be able to stop the copycat before its too late?
I will admit that I was getting to the point of throwing in the towel with this series, but am glad that I gave this one a chance, as the authors have served up what the Women's Murder Club series is all about - suspense, thrills and 'I'll read just one more chapter!'

LIndsey is thinking about retirement and after the last few lackluster entries in this series it seems a good idea.
Cindy has finished her book and is on book tour but seems someone believes the story isnt finished and starts a killing spree. For most of the book they are searching for a ghost who leaves no clue behinds, no links to the victims and is taunting Lindsey by making it personal.
Then all of a sudden they figure it out ( kinda not believable ) and the book is done
