This was such a slog to get through that I downloaded the audio, and even that was a chore to listen to. Reese’s bookclub picks have never let me down… until now.

DNF at 247 pages cause it was boring and took too long to get interesting :(

I was really hooked by this book from the beginning. The author wove a tale of a core group of four friends in high school who experienced a traumatic and life-changing event which they kept as a secret for all these years. It was really interesting and I was ready for a huge shock and major twists, but there really weren’t any so I was disappointed. And I basically figured out what had happened before the end of the book so it was a bit of a let down.
