This is so rude, but I got hung-up on "opens her Dell laptop to check her work email" and tapped out entirely somewhere around "running leave-in conditioner through her shoulder-length, naturally straight black hair."  But don't worry she "never wears makeup, which she can get away with thanks to her even-toned, pimple-free skin, high cheekbones, and ridiculously long and dark eyelashes".  Made it almost, but not quite, to the end of the first chapter.
